Finding the right path
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.", Psalm 16:11 (ESV)
There is a quiet joy in following a path that is already made. Not stumbling through the wilderness, not wandering in confusion, but walking a way that has been prepared, marked, and made known to us. This is the promise hidden in the Psalmist's words: God shows us the way.
How often do we live as though we must figure it out alone? We carry the weight of our decisions, our uncertainties, our fears about the future. We plan and strategize, we worry and second-guess ourselves. But the Psalmist invites us into something different, something revolutionary: the path of life is made known to us.
Not tomorrow. Not when we have all the answers. Not when we feel completely ready. Now.
God doesn't wait for us to be perfect to reveal His path. He doesn't require us to see the entire journey before we take the first step. Instead, He offers us something far more precious: His presence. And in His presence, there is fullness of joy.
This is where Paths begins. Not with certainty about the future, but with confidence in the One who holds the future. Here, we pause together to listen for God's voice in Scripture, to reflect on how His Spirit guides us through ordinary days, and to discover what it truly means to walk in the fullness of His presence.
Perhaps you're facing a decision that weighs on your heart. Perhaps you're in a season of waiting, and the not-knowing feels unbearable. Perhaps you've been trying so hard to navigate life on your own that you've forgotten what it feels like to simply trust. Whatever season you're in, God meets you there.
The path He shows us isn't always the easiest one, but it is always the truest one. It leads to Him, and in Him, we find what our hearts have been searching for all along: joy, peace, purpose, and the assurance that we are never alone.
So I invite you to slow down here with me. To breathe. To open your heart to what God might be whispering to you in this very moment. Each reflection you'll encounter on this blog is an invitation to notice His guidance in your life, to trust the path He's revealing, and to walk forward with the confidence that comes from knowing you are held by the God who loves you.
The Psalmist knew this truth: in God's presence is fullness of joy. Not someday. Not when circumstances change. Now. In this moment. As you take the next step.
Welcome to Paths. I'm grateful to walk this journey alongside you, as we discover together what it means to follow the One who makes the path of life known to us.
